Count down

Carol retired last Thursday  (March 25) and Garry retires this Friday (April 2). We plan on leaving Thursday, April 15. So now we are getting into departure mood. Many loose ends to tie up re: car insurance (putting them in “storage”); renew our registration on the camper; final check ups at the doctors and the dentist (where to store the 3 months worth of medications plus all the prescriptions for refills while we are in Alaska); what clothes to take; getting all of the finances in place; renewing credit cards that are due to expire after we leave town; what to do about the mail; lining up our neighbor’s son to cut the grass ( getting cash to leave with his parents to pay him with); putting timers on some of  the lights and a radio in the house, etc.  We are starting to get excited as the time for departure draws closer. Stay tuned for updates.

Garry's Second Retirement

Garry has given Sony his letter of retirement. He provided it to Dave (his District Manager) a week ago and this past Friday during a conference call, Dave announced it to the rest of the team. It went well, but it will be hard on Garry after four years of work, he has builtup some long lsting friendships with the team. he is going to work extra hard the last month before retirement to ge the terrirory in the best shape and inform many of his contacts in the stores he calls on.
Stay tuned for more about the trip to Alaska!!!!!
