Deep Creek in Our New 2005 Pleasureway

We stepped up to a newer version of the same model that we took to Alaska, but with less miles on it and we tried it out this weekend in Deep Creek, MD. We spent four very restful days, reading, talking, sleeping and eating and taking hikes. We both needed it!!!. Garry has been working a lot of days with Watermark Tours in the Baltimore location and Carol has had her hands full at Active Day.

Spring is here!!!!!

Well Spring appears to be here or at least on the way. So guess it is time to do an update. Carol and I were talking a few days ago and were remembering this time last year when we were counting down on the number of days we had before leaving for Alaska. Yes, it has been almost a year since we set out on our six month journey. Do we have any trips this year, YES, but not as long as our last one. We will be going away in a few weeks for a weekend, and in June for four days for Garry's birthday and in September to the Hershey RV sow and Pleasureway gathering.

Garry went out this weekend and unwinterized YRMOBIL and filled her with water. Some propane and we are ready again.

Garry has gone back to work!!! That's right. He has taken a position as Captain and or crew working for Watermark Tours in Annapolis, but this time, he will be working out of Baltimore. Closer and this  the job that is right down his ally, working on a tour boat, meeting iinteresting people from around the world and still able to bring home some cash.

Carol continues to work at her old job and is enjoying it as usual.

Keep coming back for photos and updates.

The Grind of Winter

Well winter has set in and We have use our snow thrower once already. It has not gotten above freezing for over a month. Snow is still on the ground. Snow predicted for this evening with freezing rain following. For Christmas we got a new slow cooker so we have been trying out new recipes. Last night Garry made New England Boiled Dinner, a recipe that Beverly Cleathero's parents made and he was introduced to when he and Beverly dated when he was stationed in the Coast Guard in Rockland, ME. It is a family dish and he loved it. I can say, Garry's job was just as good. Garry has had a final interview with a company, so we should know what the outcome will be this week. We are planing some trips this summer wit YRMOBILE. Several days here and there, as well as the RV show in Hershey, PA this fall. Garry has been taking Brandon and Jake to his Sub Committee fun at the Shrewsbury YMCA pool this winter. They had a blast operating a sum and some models that Garry bought for them to use in the pool.

Well all for now. We will follow up soon.
